Is there an accurate list somewhere on the web by chance, that lists human
medications that are ok to give to dogs?
I know that baby aspirin and pepto bismol are ok, and that's the "whole"
list that I'm aware of. I also know dogs can't have pills that are coated
in the plasticy coating such as Tylenol, etc. Other than that, I'm stumped.
One of my dogs (95lb Shepherd mix) has arthritis in one leg. Baby aspirin
helps a small bit, but I'd like to know there might be something out there
for humans that would help her more. Dog versions of human drugs are very
expensive, and the dog-drug companies seem to be even greedier than the
human drug companies (if that's possible). I was hoping it's ok to give a
dog "Aleve" or something along those lines. My vet is very good, but very
"by the book", and will only discuss dog drugs and not even bring up the
subject or answer about human drugs.
Thanks for any info.
