Actually the article does, you stand the chicken on the can by inserting the
can into the cavity.
"Balance the bird on the can in an aluminum pie pan and cook. Pull the
bird's legs forward to achieve a stabilizing tripod effect."
This is called in some circles as the "Beer Butt Chicken"
