Hi guys:

In my attempt to share my recipes on Indian Cooking, I have recently
done a website. It is however, in transition and recipes would be
added every now and then, I thought at this point of time, I could
share it with you all.

Suggestions are welcome. It's www.RupenRao.com

Regards,

Ronnie

If you are just sharing your recipes, why do you require signing up giving
all kinds of information, including e-mail address, phone number, etc? I,
for one, see no reason to do this. Lots of places have good indian recipes
and you can just browse and/or search on their sites. I'll pass.

I just had a look at this site, and you can browse the recipes without
signing up. There's not a lot on there at the moment and, having been a fan
of Indian cuisine for many years, there's not much new for me. The format
seems quite nice though and I look forward to reading the "traditional
Indian" sections once it's up and running.

Ronnie posted a number of recipes here about 1. years ago under the
rubric "Curry In a Hurry." If I remember right, he introduced them by
saying that people think all Indian food is complicated and takes
forever to prepare, and that these recipes demonstrated that that
wasn't true. My sense was that they were good simple Indian recipes.
Here is a pointer:

He also posted a collection on Geocities. I haven't checked if these
are identical to the ones posted here, but the site is still there:

Hi All:

Yes, the mandatory sign-up was removed since it was quite cumbersome
for everyone to sign-up inorder to view the recipes.

I was in India on a vacation for 20 days and hence I have not added
any recipes since the first 20. I will add them again in the coming
weeks, all of them would be easy and simple (even the traditional
ones). I will also migrate recipes from my geocities section.

You might find the same recipes elsewhere and everywhere for that
reason, but the idea on my website is to simplify each recipe and
break them into easy steps, omit the unnecessary and retain the
flavor.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will post an email once I have them
posted in a few weeks or so.
