Back in the 80's I asked a gas attendent in Yonkers where he was from. I
love accents, and I was also curious because he was obviously scarred
from small pox. He kept declining to tell me, saying "I wouldn't like
it". I finally said: you must be from Iran, and he confirmed this and
asked me why I was not heaping him with abuse. I said that I was aware
of what little say I had in my government, and could only assume he had
no more in his.
And we shook hands conspiratorily.

Ob food: snack: spinach tortilla, warmed, smeared with very smokey (both
grilled and sprinkled with smoked paprika) babaganoush, rolled up.

Geez! I feel the same way about our (the United States) president!
I didn't vote him either.
