Any West Michigan single women bakers out there? - CLICK HERE for the Cooking Forum Index

OK, I don't want to sound like some kind of freak but I'm not one for
finding dates at the bar. So, in light of that and my interest in
cooking and baking I figured I might make a stab at meeting that
special woman by finding somebody who shares this hobby with me.
Seriously though, if you're single and like to hang out with somebody
who has a good sense of humor and the cutest Boxer dog you'll ever
meet, drop me a line!

If you want to make a trip to South Bend, Mishawaka in the Fall, we're
having our first singles cooking class, probably in October. I don't know
yet if we'll bake anything or not. The plan is to concentrate on the issues
of cooking for two. I can't tell you if the girl of your dreams will show
up either but you can watch our website and take your chances. The Fall
schedule will go up in July or August. Good cooking.

Maybe "stab" wasn't the best verb to use in this context? :-)

But I think you have a great idea.

OK, if we're going to get some bakers coming then I'll make sure we bake
something. I'm conducting the class so it's easy enough to arrange.
Perhaps my luscious lemon cream cheese Bavarian torte. Pretty hard to go
wrong with that one.

Happily married with 2 children < 3 yrs old. I hooked my wife with my
cooking skills, or so she says.

Amazing how many people nowdays don't know how to cook. I guess she
figured she better marry someone who does. :-)

LOL! No, no, no... *I* do all the cooking. Unfortunately, there is no
cooking together." My wife doesn't know how to cook, or so she claims.

By the time she gets home in the evenings, dinner is already cooked
and waiting for her and the next day's lunch is packed, in the fridge
and waiting for her to take in the morning.

When we first married, the extend of her cooking skills was boiling
noodles into oblivion and pouring Ragu on them. Even today, slice and
bake cookies is her idea of baking.

Her favorite cooking show is "Semi-Home Made" with Sandra Lee. She
keeps hoping to see dishes she's willing to tackle.

My mother and grandmother were cooks at a resturant, so I grew up in a
family that loved to cook. My wife's mother and grandmother cook
wonderful, but it wasn't something she was interested in learning.
