Anyone got a good recipe for Frozen Margarita (not from a mix) that I
can make in a Cuisinart or Donvier ice cream maker?

x-no-archive: yes
I always think margaritas should be made with equal parts of tequila and fresh
lime or lemon and lime juice, and Cointreau (or triple sec) to taste-- up to as
much as the other ingredients. If freezing, you may want to add sugar. (I make
them with much less Cointreau than most people, and sometimes compensate by
infusing the tequila with orange zest and orange sections, but that's just me.
Frozen drinks can stand to be sweeter anyway.) When I make frozen drinks in my
ice cream maker, I put the alcohol in after the other ingredients are mostly
frozen.
If you don't want to squeeze a lot of lemons and limes, that Nellie and Joe's
juice is an acceptable alternative.
If you freeze this, the texture will be different than bar margaritas, but
those have a lot of thickeners and junk in them.
