iquill@webtv.net
For the first time in ages I had all my children and grandson here for
the L. D. weekend. What a joy !!! (:)) The oldest son is a grad of the
CIA and made a mean baked ziti....TWO POUNDS WORTH....he used my fresh
tomato sauce.....glorius heaven on the palate....(we still have a little
leftover)

The following day I made a large bottom round carbou roast marinated in
hot garlic oil and roasted at 375 for 45 min.and then sliced thinly on
the diagonal, a huge platter of fresh yellow and red tomato,(from the
garden) mozzarella & basil salad with olive oil, s & p...french string
beans (from the garden) w/almonds & garlic & olive oil, mashed potatoes
with pan gravy, ( a treat in this house kuz I so seldom make them) and
three loaves of that wonderful 3 cheese bread from Panerra's heated a
bit to bring out the flavor of the cheese..nary a scrap of leftovers
('cept the spuds).......some vino...lots of talking, laughing, reaching
across the table and just a great all around family fest and
feast.......

absolutely joyous time for me, I wish they would all coodernate their
schedule so we could do it more often....sure did wonders for this old
heart.

Hope you all had a super weekend too....

Grizzman
where do you live in order to get bou?..
