Toniv...
The following recipe is a recipe that I have used for the past year, and
I can't seem to make it often enough. It is not only moist, but tastes
really good.

Chocolate Mayonaise Cake.

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup white sugar
2 cups alpurpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1 cup mayonaise
1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
(The above is for a single recipe. I usually double it and then bake it
in a bundt pan.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease and flour a budnt pan.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and cocoa powder.
Add mayonaise, vanilla, and water.
Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for approximately 3 - 4 minutes.
Bake in preheated oven until toothpick comes out clean.
Allow cake to cool for 10 minutes, and then remove from pan onto a wire
rack to cool completely.
Enjoy.

NOTE: This cake batter seems like it is almost too thick, but trust me
it turns out beautifully.

I have the same recipe and it tastes wonderful and very moist. But I use a
9 x 11 cake pan.

I guess that it all depends on ones preferences.
Do you use a single or a double recipe batch?
Also, I have yet to find a frosting/icing that does this cake justice.
Any suggestions?

I use the single recipe and believe me I am no cook, far from it. That is
why I hang out here. I just buy the Pillsbury Icing in a can, my family
likes it and it is easy. I also have another moist Chocolate Cake recipe I
will put it up if I can find it. We like it even better and is just as easy
to make.

Thanks for the suggestion Stinkweed. We however find the store bought
icing/frosting too sweet for our liking.
Anyone else have any suggestions?
Toniv
Thank you so much.
