Found a couple bottles of Huia Marlborough Brut Sparkling 1999 in my sons
college town of UNC-Chapel Hill at a place called a Southern Season.

Wine guy suggested it and after tying tonight very nice PQR for $21.99 USA

Anyone here try and what were your thoughts.

Considering the production was a measly 700 cases, I was amazed it found
it's way to NC until I found that Oenophilia (based in Chapel Hill)
distributes through much of the East Coast.

Yes, it is the classic blend (Pinot Noir 33%, Pinot Meunier 29% and
Chardonnay 38%) and is among the better NZ "Traditional Method" sparklers -
although $US22 means that "a few people are clipping the ticket" as it
passes thru the distribution channel.
