Gonna be outta pocket for a few days. Moving into a new house in
Laguna Niguel CA. 180° view of the ocean, so the headache of moving
will be worth the price. Lemmeno if there's a thread I'm missing that
needs catching up on. Same old email addy.
Anyone wanna come help unpack?

I use to live in Mission Viejo, so I'm familiar with Laguna Nigel.

I didn't offer congrats either; I simply and selfishly asked about the next
cook-in. Yeah, ok. Dat's me, where's the next party?

As beautiful as your view sounds, it might cause more distraction

Well, dear Terry, if you were up here in WA, I'd gladly help (as
long as you were willing to feed me, of course). ;-) Congrats on

Well, it's taken me a week just to get my internet connection going.
My ISP will only hook up one computer (don't ask) and I nobly let the
DH have his hooked up in the "office" next to mine. My computer guy
finally got over the flu and got me set up with a wireless router, so
I'm back in business.
I spent a furious weekend trying to get everything I could possibly
get out of a box and placed, b/c tomorrow Hurricane Storage hits. I've
had about 70% of my possessions in storage while we were in that
cursed apartment. Haven't seen any of it in 3 years. Having placed all
the stuff that was in the apt. I cannot possibly imagine where I'm
gonna put any of it, much less all of it. My dining room suite and my
baby grand I have room for. Forget about the rest of it. I have no
earthly idea where I'm going to put my grandmother's service for 24
china, for instance. There. Is. No. Room! What I can't place, I'm
gonna let our kids have and what they don't want is either getting
consigned or given to the Salvation Army. Where did I *get* all this
*stuff*?? (Friend of mine joked, "You ever notice how other peoples'
stuff is sh*t and your sh*t is stuff?")
Thank you for all your good wishes. It is wonderful, wonderful to be
out of that apt. (people thundering up and down stairs, talking loudly
past your bedroom window, kids making themselves into targets on their
bikes in parking lots, etc.) and into this place. Quiet, beautiful and
adds 10 mins. to my commute. Sacrifices are called for :-)
OB: anyone want to have a cookin here, I'm all over it. Charlie!!!

I will come! I will be local, with my permanent residence in
Idyllwild.
Of course, it depends on where I have an assignment, or if I am
between assignments at the time.

Wireless! Ain't it grand? I feel like a minor character on Star Trek

My grandmother used to say that three moves equal one burn. But
careful with tossing stuff in a tiff. I miss some of my old and now
gone stuff in my new house.

You in south California? Or north? I'm guessing south.
OBFood: Omelettes for dinner tonight. Free range eggs (imagine the
little dears out there riding the prairie), jamon serrano, mild
cheddar, baby spinach, scallions.
OBFun films: The Station Agent. Won't change your life, but it's
quirky and sweet.

OB: been in the new place for a week and haven't lifted a frying pan.
We'll be looking at takeout for a while.
More unpacking should commence about noon, depending on how long it
takes the movers to load my stuff from storage.

I'd rather be beaten naked at 12th and Olive during the noon hour rush than
move again. They're going to find me dead of old age griping a garden
trowel in the gardens. Never will I move again. Although, Steven gave the
dog a bath this morning. Moving looks like an option compared to the mess.
