Sam D.
For the heavy hitters:

In Las Vegas the Diner at the downtown Plaza Hotel recently introduced
what they call the Big Daddy Barrick Burger. It weighs in at a
whopping 9 pounds -- including a six-lb. beef patty, two whole sliced
tomatoes, two whole sliced onions, four pickles, mayonnaise, mustard,
12 slices of cheese and half a head of lettuce, all on a 12-inch bun.
It's $29.99, but it is free if you can finish it there within 24
hours. The Diner also offers a 1-pound Barrick Burger -- with triple
the trimmings of a normal burger -- for $8.99. Finish it in 30 minutes
and you'll be featured on the Barrick Burger Wall of Fame. Both
burgers come complete with french fries and Maalox.

It looks like the Plaza's Big Daddy Barrick Burger has turned out to
be a knock-off of the same burger that has been served for years at a
Pennsylvania eatery for $6 less.

LOL!!! Thanks for posting this. It gave me an a.m.laugh.

Can you imagine six pounds of meat and 12 slices of cheese, not to
mention the other stuff! I hate to admit this, but I am sure I could
finish that off in a lot less than 24 hours.

If you could see me, you'd believe it too!
