Well then Michael I'll pray for Missy and send you "Get Well" vibes,
okay...???
Just about everybody I know has the sniffles/a
cold/bronchitis/whatever....'tis the season. Earlier this week I FORCED
myself to drink cups of lemon juice laced with mucho garlic and honey. I'm
a bit better, don't know if it's a placebo effect or if that vile brew had
antibiotic effects...
One friend swears by the old "folk" method (supposedly Polish) of placing a
large clove of garlic up yer keister overnight, supposedly the lower GI
tract absorbs the garlic's antibiotic properties (or whatever) better than
ingesting by mouth. Sorry, but I *ain't* goin' there...have to draw the
line *somewhere* ;o)

Well, I'm telling you I just spent 2 hours in the doctor's office. It was
not pleasant. I got this huge shot in the butt. Huge, like a horse needle.
20 minutes later I felt relaxed and terrific. I had a breathing treatment,
a couple of other shots for immunity. I feel better than I have in weeks.
I don't know what those immunity shots are but they whoosh right through.
I'm ready to rock and roll.

Good to hear that you are feeling better after the doctor's visit.
Keep it up and get better so that nothing will keep you from coming to
New York City as planned. Hugs, Margaret

Glad that you seem to be feeling better! But, (you knew that was
coming didn't ya?) be careful! I hope it's not the case, but you may
not feel as good when the shot wears off in a day or two. In the
meantime, I'd recommend not over-doing things. Relapses are often
worse than what you started with.

Hot grapefruit juice, or strong sweetened "gunpowder" tea from an asian
market (it's a very good green tea, rolled into little rat turds)

Rat turd tea? LOL... I know it's a good green tea though. I'm doing soup,
ramen noodles and light stuff. For some reason really cold milk is
helping. Hell, I can't got back to work until 10/23. This pneumonia sucks.
They did do a biopsy on a bad part of the lung. Pray for me on that one.

Ah pnuemonia, the old folk's friend...called that cause you just go to
sleep and never wake up.
The shot in the butt might have been the Antibioctics used. In the hospital
they'd shoot it in my IV and it would awaken me in the deads of the night.
Felt like draino going into my arm. Whatever it was it knocked the ****
outa my pnuemonia. I used to get 2 breathing treatments a day those were
ok. There's the pnuemonia imunity one...that's good for 1/3 of known types
of pnuemonia viruses. Do you find you're having memory problems? ...I did,
but I had it twice back to back. Did you get the spinal fluid taps...those
I didn't care for one tiny bit.

Well I made you a "Get Well" _What's My Line?_ tape ...you have "In
Memorian" Janet Leigh episodes (1961, !960, 1955...in all she was the
Mystery Guest...[ "I'm in New York to start filming _The Manchurian
Candidate_ ...with Frank Sinatra"...'I was surprised by the popularity
of _Psycho_' , Janet - a good return for the money...' said Bennett
Cerf..."] and a 1954 episode where she was a Guest Panelist subbing for
Arlene Francis...and her HANDSOME hubby Tony Curtis was the "Mystery
Guest..." , God she was SO beautiful and so nice...
You also have a 1952 _WML?_ episode with Francis The Talking Mule as the
"Mystery Guest"...it's just about the *funniest* thing I've seen on teevee
(and I'm a _Honeymooners_ aficionado)...also a coupla early 70's _WML?_
episodes (the syndicated color episodes; Arlene Francis and Soupy Sales are
panel members...in GARISH c.1973 color..don't despair Arlene still looks
chic...) with Rodney Dangerfield...
One of the Rodney Dangerfield episodes is from 1970...in it he promotes his
NYC comedy club "Dangerfield's"...it was one of the first comedy clubs
ever...

Oh, send 'em. I'll really enjoy them. I still have to send the first tape
back to you. I really enjoyed it. I've been lax lately.
