What are you baking for the holidays this year?? I'm making some
checkerboard cookies, chocolate cranberry biscotti, meringue cookies. I'm
looking for some other ideas on what to make.

What's you fail proof cookie recipes?

Thanks

I always bake a big cheesecake because it can be made well ahead of time,
most people like it, and you always have leftovers because the serving size
is small. I find nearly all cookies to be fail proof. Some are more
popular than others, some are very easy, some are pricey to make, some are
fancy, some are rustic. What did you have in mind?

me
I'm making my peppermint squares, lemon drop cookies, vanilla crescents, my
holly cookies (the dough gets tinted green, and are shaped like holly, with
red nonperils), my shortbread square cookies stripped with dark and white
chocolate, molasses cookies that I cut out with gingerbread man cookie
cutters. (I prefer these to 'gingerbread' cookies).
This year I'm giving cookies, wrapped pretty and placed in a basket with
bags of flavored coffee beans, flavored teas, and a pretty mug. And, with
six different kinds of cookie, everyone will get two of each, per dozen.
