Which party? I had 3 to go to this past weekend. I'm already partied out.

I didn't know what to take on Friday so I made one a cheeseball and took
crackers. Not very imaginitive but it got eaten.

Not for those piranaha. They would turn their noses up at jicama and
chipolte. They have graduated to a mild jalapeno salsa though. I don't
dare give them anything like habaneros. IMO peppers are to flavor, not make
wildly hot. I do like a lot of heat but that is no reason to make others
suffer through it. IMO, all peppers are there to add flavor, not
discomfort, although I like the discomfort. The cheeseball was the typical
scallion, ham etc. thingy. I added some grated cheddar, chopped garlic (not
good) and white onion (good). Cream cheese and a glob of sour cream. It
worked well. It wasn't the hit of the party, the little smokies in the
crock pot seemed to be the big hit. I'm assuming we're talking about the
bash at work. For the party down the street, I did chilled crab. Yum it
was good. Saturday, I had to take nothing. I had a wonderful time and came
home at a decent hour. I also had a doctor's appt on Friday at 10am. It
went very well. Tis the season.

Me too...I've got enought leftovers (that various party - givers gave me) of
3/4 rounds of brie, halves of hams, crudites, crackers, meatballs, etc. to
carry me over to Easter at least...

I'm making pea soup with the ham tomorrow...

And I've got about three more functions to attend through the end of the
month...

I'd actually like to roll into bed and hibernate until about the first
weekof March or so...

Hibernating until March sounds good. I'm Ho Ho'd out. I've got 5 more
functions, including driving home and doing the Christmas thing with the
family. I am way overdoing it this year. Tis time to stop, breathe and
cease over indulging over this way. I wish I had some left overs. I made
omeletes last night. Cheese, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. I threw
some potatoes into a skillet and fried them up also, mixed with some onion.

For supper Sunday I heated the frozen ribs (already cooked) that Niece
Patty gave me as a gift. Did I ever mention that she's the QVC Queen?
You don't want to know some of the things she's gotten through them. . .
the ribs came from there and they were pretty darned good. I sliced
white potatoes 2mm thick and fried them slowly in butter and olive oil
-- no mixing -- to develop a crust. Flipped them to crust up the other
side. They were tender (almost too -- due to potato type) on the inside
and crusty out, just as Rob likes them. accompanied with the secret
family cole slaw. Good eats.
