Sure, no problem, but be sure not to put a completely
full container of milk (or any liquid) in the freezer.
You need to leave some room for the liquid to expand
as it chills.

Sure. Just be sure to let it completely thaw before using it.
Otherwise, you'll enjoy wonderfully rich milk followed by half a gallon
of milky water.

Whoa. This is brilliant. I always buy milk and never use it up before it goes
bad. When I need it for a recipe it's never there. I should really put a small
pint in the freezer for recipe emergencies. Does it work even for raw
consumption after thawing? (Such as cereal eating?) Or does the
composition/texture get weird after it's been frozen?

it's fine.

thawed whole milk was my favourite drink when I was about 10. Works for
whole.

It tastes just fine, though I'd give it a shake first, in case
it seperates...
