Request: frozen fudge cake - CLICK HERE for the Cooking Forum Index
ChocolateManiacMansion
I cannot seem to find a recipe anywhere. When I was a kid (in the
seventies) we used to buy it from the store. It is just like it sounds,
fudgy, chocolatey cake, served frozen. I want my family to try it but I
can't seem to find it anywhere. Anybody have a recipe? Thanks ni advance.

Fudge
For years I used to listen to an old guy flogging Carvelle Ice Cream Cakes
on an upstate New York radio station. They sounded really good. This chap
has probably expired but I believe the cakes his company made would fill the
bill. I have no idea if Carvelle Ice Cream Cakes are still sold in the
U.S.A.

You mean Tom Carvel? Yes, he has passed on (1990), but the chain is
still around. Don't know if it's just a Northeast thing.

There still selling! I just saw one at the store last week (in Florida) and
thought "wow, they're still in business!".
