Hi all.. .
I'm new to the group but didn't know where else to post this. I'm looking
for this egg breaker/separator. It's a hand held, white plastic device that
you put the egg in.. and you squeeze the handle and it cracks the egg and
drops the contents into a separator on the bottom of it.. i've tried
attaching a video to this post but it didn't work so if you want the video
email me and i can send it to you.
if anyone has seen it or knows where to get it please let me know..
Thanks!

Is there a URL for it? I'd rather have that than a bigass attachment to
a message.

That looks like a handy gadget. I did a google search for "egg
separator" and I got lots of hits. You might try doing the same search
to see if the particular egg separator you want can be found.

LOL! Europe has websites, too!
Though I ceretainly don't need one, this thing looks kinda neat. Must be
somewhat obscure, though. Happy hunting!

Yes, and if anyone finds them please post where. I'd love to have one
just because and they certainly would make great stocking stuffers for
next Christmas...yes, it's that time of year again. Time to start
Christmas shopping...

You might want to try eBay. They might have what you're looking for
Michelle. It looks like a nice kitchen gadget but outdated. Keep looking
and you will find one.

I'm almost done. I do it very early every year. The only problem I have, I
forget where I put the gifts. I buy a toy (both parents love toys) for
everyone and usually a gift certificate. I always forget where the toys
are. Oh, and the ornaments. I buy Waterford for the neice and whatever for
everyone else. I can find some great ornaments in Webster or Kirkwood.
Great stores there. Ladue is good too but pretty pricey. We don't have any
stores here in Glendale except one market. The name escapes me. The
Farmer's market in Kirkwood is great. I get all my pumpkins there. Plus
they have great apple cider and kielbasa with kraut. Pardon my spelling, I
know it is bad.

Michelle - dear - you can't actually be serious - unless you plan to
make omlets for 500. No offense, I mean, everybody has a gadget they
like - but are you sure you want an Egg-breaker?

Sure.
I looked at the video. The gizmo looks like one more gadget I couldn't
live without, might try twice, and then would wonder where in hell I was
going to store it. And I see great potential for misplacing the
strainer part of it. And at the earliest opportunity, I'll sell it in
a garage sale for 50 cents. Me, I'll stick with a solid whack on the
counter and the use of the shell halves for separating the white from
the yolk. As ever, YMMV.

Well it's for my grandmother... she has very bad arthritis and can't break

it is another story... it's not for me!! :)

Ah, that makes sense. I thought it looked like an awful lot of
trouble to assemble (and clean) just to break and separate eggs :>

I've decided the best way to separate yolks and whites is
to crack the egg into my fingers and let it drip through.
I mean, I'll never keep my fingers clean and out of the
egg the normal way anyway, so I might as well be efficient.

I hope you find it for her and I hope she'll be able to use it. Will
there be an issue with grip as she'll have to squeeze the handles of the
gizmo? Maybe won't know until you find it and try.

Sorry, Michelle. Sounds like a good idea after all.
