For more years than I like to admit, I thought that a grape leaf was
part of the male anatomy. :o( All the statues I saw as a child, had
such a leaf covering the naked male's marble, stone or metal crotch.

Dear Barb, I have the gall to jump in and say that I always use the jarred
leaves. They are inexpensive and of good quality. They have to be soaked and
rinsed carefully to remove as much salt as possible because they are packed
in brine and are very salty.

Usually those are fig leaves. Unless, of course, the fig leaves are
being cleaned.
