Yepper! Often cheaper that way, too. If you know your butcherperson
they might do it for you at no charge.

Yes. Did you think it was from a different animal or something?

The only thing you have to be careful about is making usre you
get the ribroast from the left side of the animal. It's much
more tender than the right side.

No. They always stand facing East in the fields so the
right side gets more sun (south side). It gets tough and
sunburned and dry. I thought everyone grew up knowing that.

Yes you can., I buy mine at BJ's and save a lot of money. You may have to
trim a bit though, bu t that fat trimmed can be grou nd along withyour other
beef to make hamburker o meatball meat.

I do the same with the boneless pork loins. I pay $1.89 for a whole loin
and cut it to make the same at the $4.99 boneless chops you see in the meat
case.

What if the cow is ambidextrous? Are they equally tough on both sides?

Butcherperson? You don't find 'butcher' to be sufficiently genderless?

That's what we just did! We got a ribeye roast and cut it up into 1.5"
steaks. Grilled 'em up yesterday.
