She's okay. I heard from her a few days ago but she's going to be taking a
break for a few days. I think Ron is busy adding to the flower beds (he
loves to garden!) and of course, she and Moxie the cat have to supervise...
it's their sworn and solemn duty.

Thank you SO much, Jill! Please let her know we have missed her, okay?

Yes, but... it's not funny... the way people swap sigs, carriers, and
morph right, left, and center, makes me wonder who anyone is. I was
wise years ago when a I swore never to meet with anyone on line. I'm
fairly certain that better than half the regular rfc'ers are posting
regularly under more than one identity... I've been here a long time
and have a photographic memory for syntax (the way in which linguistic
elements as words are put together to form constituents as phrases or
clauses), identical writing styles seem to re-emerge much too often to
be coinkydink. Some have even attempted to emulate my writing style,
of course no one can even come close, and if for no other reason than
because no one can anticipate what's liable to come out of my mouth,
sometimes I even amaze myself... like just this week I've Knighted two
individuals; they will forever be known as "Larry Ghoul" and Shaun
"Butt Slut" aRse.

I agree.. it's a questionable practice to share personal information
willy nilly. But I've shared mine with you Sheldon. I trust you. You've
seen my ugly mug in fact! lol. But I've been exposed to scary stalking
types who think it great fun to research a person online in detail and
that's just creepy. I am VERY selective with who I share my personal
life with now.
I've changed ISP's over the years too. I was amused to see a recipe I
shared once shared (properly attributed to my old ISP screename) by an
admired poster here. I just won't publicly claim it if I can remember?
It was such a flashback seeing an email addy I'd forgotten I once used. LOL

I just want my NANNERS BACK!

I'm not sure who you're talking about, but Nancree lives in Southern
California and Nancy Young lives on the east coast.

Are you, perhaps, getting confused and thinking about Nancy Dooley, from
Iowa?

Do you think I post as another person? I'm interested in who else may have

I'm not at liberty to divulge... but I will say that your writing style
is not particularly unique, in fact it's kind of benign, so you could
easily be anybody... not saying you are or aren't just that you could
be. With your writing style, during those long periods of your
absence, you could very easily have posed as somebody else, and to the
untrained eye go undetected.

Dang, I thought I had my own style! <snapping fingers> Good to know I

I am; I was thinking Indiana, too. Where's that program so I can make

Well I'm not me...I'm somebody else!!!
When asked for ID I always pull out a mirror and say...See that's me.

Carol! You need an "Untrained Eye"! Then you can post as someone else and
not be detected! (I'm sorry but that struck me very funny!)

The flip side is that some online friends are very nice people in real
life. OTOH, I can understand your trepidation. Sadly, the personna
portraited online is very different than that in real life. I would
like to do one of the cooking meets though. That sounds like a lot of
fun. Now I have to post something cooking related, right so here goes -

Rice Crispy Ice Cream Bars

Make the standard rice crispy (sorry no recipe - I just use rice
crispies, a bag of marshmallows, butter, and vinilla) squares except
press the mixture to a layer of about 1/2 inch. Use a large round
cookie cutter to cut rice crispy circles. Layer one circle with vanilla
(my choice but hey use whatever as they won't go to waste) ice cream
and top with another rice crispy circle. Then do a little smoosh to
join everything together. Continue in this way until you have all the
ice cream sandwiches made. Pop into the freezer.

In the meantime, melt chocolate in a double boiler. While that is
melting, find your candy sprinkles and pour a generous amount into a
small bowl. Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, remove your tray
of rice crispy bars from the freezer. Quickly dip one at a time into
the chocolate then into the sprinkles and return to the tray. Put back
into the freezer to harden. This is a guaranteed kids treat sure to
please and I haven't heard to many complaints from adults either :)
