Hello,
I really should know the answer to this but here goes....I have some
(uncooked) ground beef that I defrosted. Can I go ahead and cook it
and then refreeze? Say in the form of a meatloaf? I'm pretty sure the
answer is yes, but not sure. Thanks to anyone who can answer this for
me.

I've done this for meatloaf, taco meat, and just ready to use ground
beef. I keep a couple of bags of ready to use already cooked gr. beef
in the freezer as well as ready to use taco meat for those times when I
want something quick and don't feel much like cooking. The majority of
this was frozen raw then cooked and froze again. HTH :)

Yes- no problem....... Ypu can also make the meatloaf mixture and re-freeze it
uncooked with little or no effect to the final product.

Thanks for all replies! I kinda thought the answer would be yes but
wanted to be certain.
~patches~...That's a great idea about freezing small batches for
different uses like taco's, etc. I have many of those nights myself
where I don't feel like cooking!
