Since HP has been brought up, I think this is my cue to mention that I
really, really like "HP Fruity" sauce. It's not carried locally, so I have
to buy it by the case online, and I do so without hesitation. It would
probably even be good on a pasty -- either a Cornish pasty or the American
kind of pasty that strippers wear. ;-)
(As I understand it, though, the correct pronunciation of the Cornish
delicacy is PAST-ee, which allows differentiation from the American
PASTE-ee.)

yep
not to be confused with a patsy (or Patsy)

Except, as a former Michigan resident, I need to point out that Pasty
is indeed pronounced "PAST-ee" in Michigan. Unless you are going to
one of those bars over in Windsor.

HP fruity is an absolute joy. Try adding some to your dumpling mix (if
you ever make dumplings that is)

As long as the PAST isn't pronounced as in the PAST tense. It's similar
to Patsy.
