Not at all Mr. Boatwright.

The major reason i cook these days, even beyond my own interest in it is
for the sake of the 'elderly relative' I have some one to shop and cook
for. And one of the chief delights of my day is in asking the 'elderly
relative' what she would like for dinner? Planning a meal.

She is my Aunt by Marriage, having married me Maters Brother (me Uncle)
they have the same last name as me Mothers Maiden. Known her all me
life. At least as far back as i can remember. If y'all don't mind me
mentioning it. i kind of like her, a lot. Me Mater is still alive,
almost 90 & still active, i rarely talk to her. But me 'elderly
relative' me Aunt, keeps me on my toes. At the very least challenges me
not to repeat my self in any culinary sense though she do like her
curry. And i am a bit discombobulated that this should even be a topic
but then again.....

Then it's all very good for you, as well as for her. I'm glad of that.

My mother, with whom I was very close, lived the last 5 years of her life
with us. It gave me a great deal of pleasure to have her near and to do
things I knew she would enjoy.

As fond as i am of the 'elderly relative' i was also, geographically,
the closest, we both lived in the same city in northern California all
her other blood relatives are on the east coast or in Europe or
Australia, shes a "Rackham" (sp?) as in "Black Jack" and an ex NY'er who
dont like "The City" anymore. Preferes the provincialism of the 'east
bay' to the sophistication & hassels of NYC.

I know, i consider my self lucky to have intimatly shared the last 10
years of her life, shes a scorpio and just turned 80. Curry for dinner
the next few days.

Which, by the way, she preferes an Asian curry over an Indian and likes
the commecial Japanese product "Golden Curry" the hot rather than the
mild vesion.
