I bought a pkg. of boudin and I have googled to find out how to cook it but
can't find anything much except how to make it. It looks bad in the
package, like a white sausage. So what should I do to make it good?

I think you just steam it and eat it. (I don't think it's greasy enough
to fry.) It's kinda like "dirty rice" in a sausage casing.
Best regards,
Bob

Boudin is made with cooked ingredients. All you really need to do heat them. You
can heat boudin in simmering water as you might a hotdog.

You can fry it on low-moderate heat in butter or oil/butter combo. But
it's nowhere near as good as dirty rice. -aem

Boudin sausage contains rice as well as the pork and spices. You just
simmer it in a little liquid (water or beer; I'd go with water this time).
It's not the type of sausage you can fry or grill. Poke some holes in it
with a fork when you simmer it but don't be surprised if the casings split
during cooking. That's not a problem. You'll be surprised out how tasty it
is. Serve it with some veggies. Since it already has rice in it you may
not want to add another starchy side dish (I don't).

Do you think Anthony Bourdain eats boudin while drinking coffee
from his Bodum?
