Yep. We used to get grandmother one from there every year. I don't like
fruitcake but Collin Street's is pretty darned good.

My late mother-in-law used to send my husband fruitcake every year
from the Collin St. Bakery in Corsicana, Texas. I don't think it was
the best fruitcake I've ever had (I like my cherry-nut-dried pineapple
hommade one better) but he really liked it a lot, and it wasn't dry and
icky like some.

Claxton in Georgia makes the best fruitcake I've ever eaten and I have eaten
a lot. Love fruitcake! I have ordered several Claxton fruitcakes every year
for at least 30 years. Wunnerful!

I've seen the College Street fruitcakes on tv, however have never eaten
one. So, I'm going to have to agree with Charles on this one. Claxton
fruitcakes are outstanding!! Moist, yummy, and just plain delish!

The fruitcakes from the Collins Street Bakery in Corsicana, TX are
definitely good! (But my home-made ones are better). Carol

Wow, you've given me some good ideas. Has anyone heard of the
fruitcakes from the Trappist Monks from Ky.? Check this out and also I
have included a link to Collins Bakery.
http://www.gethsemanifarms.org/index.asp
http://www.collinstreet.com/
http://www.claxtonfruitcake.com/
Both offer free shipping and my buddy tells me the Trappist Monks
fudge is to die for. I just checked there and you can get a 1 lb
fruitcake and 1 pound of their fudge for $20 with free shipping.
Collins is also offering free shipping. I am going to check out
Claxton's site based on your recommendations. Hell, I might buy one
from each place!
P.s. Look for me on Oprah's weight loss show next year ;)
