Caramel Fondue

14 ounces vanilla caramels
1/3 cup water
dash salt
Combine caramels and water in top of a double boiler; melt over hot
water, stirring frequently. Add salt. Pour sauce into fondue pot;
place over fondue burner. (If mixture is too thick, stir in a little
water.) Spear dipper with fondue fork; dip in fondue.
Suggested dippers: Apples, bananas, peaches, marshmallows.
